As a Bit-Wizards Software Engineer you will work with other engineers of the highest caliber to find perfect solutions for each client. Ideal candidates have a Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or other technical fields, Microsoft Developer Certification, are fluent in coding .NET applications, and possess good communication skills, as well as strong analytical and troubleshooting skills. Bit-Wizards’ software engineers are expert coders with a strong understanding of business and work in small teams to develop solution-based software applications.

This position is full-time and in-house at our office in beautiful Fort Walton Beach, Florida.

Responsibilities:

  • Interface with clients to determine business requirements as well as keep in constant contact with clients on the progress of ongoing projects.
  • Work well in a team environment to assist and seek assistance from peers in order to complete projects efficiently.
  • Design, develop, and launch highly-visible, feature-rich applications.
  • Support existing business applications for clients.
  • Interface with network, hardware, and system operations teams to resolve problems with application/database systems.
  • Be a team player who takes ownership of projects and drives them through to completion thoroughly and efficiently.

Requirements:

  • BS or MS in Computer Science or related technical studies.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in ASP.NET development.
  • Experience with Winforms and a SQL-based Database including Database design.
  • Extensive knowledge of Windows operating systems.
  • Strong problem solving skills, adaptable, proactive, and willing to take ownership.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • Ability to prioritize and handle multiple areas of responsibilities.
  • Proactive, customer-focused with a passion for Web and emerging technologies.
  • Skills in the following are a plus: Active Reports, Infragistics, SharePoint, ASP, C++, VB, Oracle, Dynamics, QuickBooks SDK, and other tools and development platforms that run on the Microsoft family of operating systems.

As a key member of a growing SharePoint consulting practice, you will have significant impact on the strategic direction and success of this regionally recognized Managed Microsoft Gold Partner known for their professionalism, expertise, and business acumen. Are you are someone that is skilled and comfortable with the most advanced concepts of how to best plan, implement, and develop SharePoint solutions, but also has the skills to articulate the benefit of those advanced concepts to both “C” level executives and technical resources alike? These are the must-haves:

  • Minimum 3 years combination of SharePoint Administration and/or SharePoint Development Experience.
  • Expert level knowledge of workflows, central administration, service configurations, PowerPivot reports, and dashboards in SharePoint 2007 and 2010.
  • Involved in at least 2 full SharePoint implementations from planning through implementation.
  • Skilled in the ability to document physical and logical solutions architectures.
  • Ability to recognize/derive business requirements from informal conversations with clients.
  • Can conceptualize the big picture of the overall solution as well as implement the detailed tasks required with expertise.
  • Ability to understand the strengths, weaknesses, and tradeoffs of potential solutions.
  • Creative, detail oriented, and great communication skills.
  • Willingness and aptitude to learn new technologies and concepts quickly.
  • Self-driven, confident, team oriented, and professional.
  • Consultancy experience preferable, but not required.

As a Bit-Wizards’ Web Designer/Developer, you will be responsible for all aspects of designing, developing and maintaining high quality projects. These projects will include websites, user interfaces, and print material designs for both internal and external projects. A successful candidate must be able to work well in teams as well as take ownership of projects and ensure high-end results on their own. Communication, organization, and a strong attention to detail are also required traits for all Bit-Wizards team members. These are the must-haves:

  • Proficiency in writing clean, maintainable XHTML and CSS.
  • A good understanding of common design principles.
  • A strong portfolio demonstrating your skills.
  • Advanced experienced in Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, and Dreamweaver.
  • Experience developing websites built on content management systems (Kentico, WordPress, etc.).
  • An aptitude for detail in all aspects.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and responsibilities productively at the same time.
  • A true passion for your profession and dedication to keep yourself current with web trends and technologies.
  • Be a clear and effective communicator with clients and team members.
  • Be one who takes ownership of your projects and efficiently pushes them to successful completion whether working individually or as part of a team.
